" Hi, I'm Allan Davis.  Owner, designer and craftsman here at Al's Woodworking.

   My story began many years ago when I received a 'Real Power Workshop' for my 8th birthday...ha ha...

20 years later I was asked to make a spacious, exciting hamster cage and that was it!  I knew then I had a deep passion for woodworking.  I spent the next few years honing my skills and gathering tools along the way.  I completed many projects for family, friends and neighbours.  This led on to projects for their friends and family... Before I knew it I was creating custom items such as a variety of animal enclosures, garden furniture, planters, shelving, dining tables, cupboards, hot tub enclosures, sheds and close board fencing. 

I love the satisfaction I feel after completing a piece (I tend to sit and look at them for a while as it gives me that .... I did that feeling, which is why I enjoy it so much). 

My goal is to provide people with a solid, well made piece that will last for many, many years.

When I started my woodworking journey I took photographs of my projects as I was proud of them.  Please excuse any less than perfect photos from my earlier days.  I don't pretend to be a photographer!  However, I am learning to try and capture my more recent work in a more customer friendly way. 

My aim is that the things I can make for you will bring you as much pleasure as they have for me whilst making them."
